Fried Udon

Fried Udon

Ingredient: Udon, choy sam, prawn, meat, onion(finely choped), oil, water, light soy sauce, sugar, garlic(finely choped), dark soy sauce, oyster sauce

Ways:
  • Put salt and boil water in a pot. Put in udon and cook per package instruction.
  • Take out the udon once it done and rinse in cool water. Put the udon aside.
  • Heat oil in wok.
  • Saute onion till fragant.
  • Add in prawn and stir fry till redish.
  • Add in choy sam, meat and stir fry.
  • Add in water, light soy sauce, sugar, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce
  • Put the udon in and cook.

I prefer fried udon compare to udon soup. It is much easier to prepare. Udon soup need to have a tasty soup preparation. I am still figure around to make the soup tasty.

Home Cook Udon


Ingredients: Udon, Carrot, Seaweed, Tofu, Pork, Prawn, Tomato, Salt, Soya sauce


Ways:
  1. Cook the water until boil.

  2. Place carrot and pork to cook until the carrot is soft.

  3. Place seaweed, tofu, tomato, prawn and cook until the prawn is turn to orange color.

  4. Seasoning the soup with salt and soya sauce and it is ready to serve with udon.

  5. For the udon preparation, cook the water until boil. Put some salt into the water.

  6. Once the water is boiled, you may place the udon.

  7. Cook the udon 5-6 mins. Take out the noodles and merge in cold water for a while.

  8. Take out the udon and it is ready to serve with soup.

Tips:

  1. Don't overcook udon. Use your finger try to separate the udon and you'll know the level of udon is cook. Alternative, you can taste your udon on the spot to check it is cook.

This is my first trial. Will try place prawn with shell and miso next time in soup.
